Analyst Program

The TXPC Analyst Program is a structured, semester-long training initiative designed to equip new members with the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for a successful career in political consulting. Before joining consulting teams, analysts undergo a rigorous training process that covers key areas of political strategy, policy analysis, and campaign operations.

Program Structure

  • Cohort Size: 10-15 students per semester

  • Commitment: ~2-3 hours per week, including meetings and independent work

  • Leadership: Led by the Education Directors, who oversee curriculum development and mentorship

  • Completion: Program concludes with a formal “Graduation” ceremony, recognizing participants’ achievements

  • “Big/Little”: Mentorship pairing program for analysts and consultants

  • Engaging with the press and managing public relations

Capstone Projects

Throughout the semester, analysts complete two major projects to apply their learning:

  1. Individual Policy Memo:

    Each participant authors a policy memo on a selected issue, simulating real-world policy advisory work.

  2. Semester-Long Research Paper:

    The cohort collaborates on a comprehensive research project analyzing a relevant political or policy issue, producing a final report and presentation.

By the end of the semester, graduates of the Analyst Program are well-prepared to transition into consulting teams, where they apply their training to real-world political and policy challenges.
